Plans for the ambitious project, which will cost $100 million, will be presented to investors at the Cannes festival next week. The film would likely be produced in the United States, rendering it immune from any tariffs the Trump administration has threatened to place on foreign-made films.<br \/><br \/>In announcing the project, Iervolino declared the proposed movie would be \u201ca major new biographical film centered on the life and legacy of Donald J. Trump \u2014 real estate mogul, television icon, and 45th and 47th President of the United States.\u201d <br \/><br \/>As Iervolino continued, \u201cWhether one agrees or disagrees with his politics, there\u2019s no denying Donald Trump\u2019s impact on the modern era. As a producer, I\u2019m interested in exploring the deeper story of the man \u2014 the rise, the challenges, the resilience. Our goal is to deliver a film that is bold, balanced, and artistically ambitious.\u201d<br \/><br \/>Production is tentatively scheduled to begin later this year. No decisions have yet been made about who will be cast in the role of Donald Trump. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt8368368\/\"><em><strong>The Apprentice<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm4389150\/\">Ali Abassi<\/a>&#8216;s 2024 biopic about Trump\u2019s early career,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1659221\/\"> Sebastian Stan<\/a> played the younger Trump, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0834989\/\">Jeremy Strong<\/a> appeared in the role of Attorney Roy Cohn, who masterminded some of Trump\u2019s sketchy initiatives.<\/p>\r\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\r\n<p>Iervolino\u2019s proposed film may try to portray Trump in a more balanced light, according to some observers. When <strong><em>The Apprentice<\/em><\/strong> debuted, Trump vehemently denounced the film, posting on Truth Social that it was \u201ca cheap, defamatory, and politically disgusting hatchet job, put out right before the 2024 Presidential Election, to try and hurt the Greatest Political Movement in the History of our Country, \u2018MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!\u2019\u201d<br \/><br \/>Trump\u2019s diatribe continued: \u201cSo sad that HUMAN SCUM, like the people involved in this hopefully unsuccessful enterprise, are allowed to say and do whatever they want in order to hurt a Political Movement, which is far bigger than any of us.
