But it is all true.\u201d The truth of this particular tale is in the eye of the beholder \u2014 whether that\u2019s the eye of Victor Frankenstein (Isaac), or the misbegotten creature (<a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?s=Jacob+Elordi\">Jacob Elordi<\/a>) he\u2019s created. You can see the full teaser above.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Del Toro has been dreaming of Mary Shelley\u2019s classic monster since childhood, but it took him decades to finally adapt the novel in earnest. In the interim, the iconography of the beloved tale seeped into the rest of del Toro\u2019s filmography \u2014 think of the lightning-infused birth of Pinocchio in his 2022 Oscar winner Pinocchio, or the wounded humanity of Ron Perlman\u2019s monstrous &#8220;<strong>Hellboy<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<p class=\"p1\">Now, that continuum of influence has been reversed. Fans of del Toro\u2019s work will note plenty of familiar imagery in the new teaser, from Isaac\u2019s Victor standing on a decaying staircase holding a candelabra (see: &#8220;<strong>Crimson Peak<\/strong>&#8220;) to a blood-red angelic figure surrounded in flames (see: &#8220;<strong>the Angel of Death in Hellboy II: The Golden Army<\/strong>&#8220;, the blue Wood Sprite and the sphinxlike &#8220;<strong>Death in Pinocchio<\/strong>&#8220;, and even the Faun in &#8220;<strong>Pan\u2019s Labyrinth<\/strong>&#8220;). The teaser promises Mary Shelley\u2019s Frankenstein, filtered through the lens of Guillermo del Toro on the grandest canvas imaginable. We can\u2019t wait to see what new angles the celebrated filmmaker discovers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1312221\/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_8_nm_0_in_0_q_frankenstein\"><strong>Frankenstein<\/strong><\/a>&#8221; arrives on Netflix in November.
