Both actors are British. In a social-media posting on Wednesday, Nintendo\u2019s game director <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0594427\/\">Shigeru Miyamoto<\/a> was quoted as saying, \u201cI am very much looking forward to seeing both of them on the big screen.\u201d <br \/><br \/><em><strong>The Legend of Zelda<\/strong><\/em>, a live-action adaptation of the familiar video game, is scheduled for theatrical release on May 7, 2027, two months after its original projected debut. The film is being directed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1226871\/\">Wes Ball<\/a>, who also did the honors for <em><strong>The Maze Runner<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\r\n<p>Bragason has been acclaimed for her roles in the BBC One series <strong><em>Three Girls<\/em><\/strong> and <em><strong>The Jetty<\/strong><\/em>, and in Disney+\u2019s <em><strong>Renegade Neil<\/strong><\/em>. She also starred in the vampire comedy film <em><strong>The Radleys<\/strong><\/em>, directed by Euros Lyn. Ainsworth supplied the voice of Pinocchio in Robert Zernecki\u2019s live-action feature about the classic marionette. He also played the role of Miles in <em><strong>The Haunting of Bly Mano<\/strong><\/em>r for Netflix, and stars in the Canadian comedy series <em><strong>Son of a Critc<\/strong><strong>h<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\r\n<p><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\u00a0<br \/><br \/>The casting strategy was hailed by journalists such as Carlos Morales, who wrote in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/nobodys-heard-of-the-new-zelda-and-link-and-thats-a-very-good-thing\"><em>IGN<\/em><\/a>: \u201cWes Ball is an underrated genre craftsman, with a strong eye for believable world-building and tangible set piece craft. His most recent film, <em><strong>Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes<\/strong><\/em>, went a long way to show how much attention he pays to specific emotional stakes and great use of VFX.
