{"id":31080,"date":"2025-08-13T00:02:06","date_gmt":"2025-08-13T04:02:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?p=31080"},"modified":"2025-08-18T23:26:05","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T03:26:05","slug":"fixed-genndy-tartakovsky-video-interview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?p=31080","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Fixed\u2019 Filmmaker Genndy Tartakovsky on his Raunchy Canine Comedy (Video Interview)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When it comes to animation, you can\u2019t really better the mamyu contributions by Genndy Tartakovsky, whose early work as the creator of <\/span><b><i>Dexter\u2019s Laboratory<\/i><\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and contributing to <\/span><b><i>The Powerpuff Girls <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">led to more adult fare like <\/span><b><i>Samurai Jack <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b><i>Primal<\/i><\/b><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(This writer personally believes that his animated series, <\/span><b><i>Star Wars: Clone Wars<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, was one of the best iterations of the George Lucas characters outside the movies until recent years.)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That all eventually led to Tartakovksy directing three<\/span><b><i> Hotel Transylvania <\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">movies for Sony, and that relationship led to Tartakovsky working with Sony Pictures Animation on his new animated feature, <\/span><b><i>Fixed<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which is a very different movie for him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fixed <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">follows a young dog named Bull (voiced by Adam Devine), who learns that he\u2019s about to get neutered due to his proclivity for humping his Nana\u2019s leg. Bull decides to go out on one last doggie bender with his buddies, voiced by Iris Elba, Fred Armisen, Bobby Moynihan, and Kathryn Hahn.
