All Rights Reserved.. **ALL IMAGES ARE PROPERTY OF SONY PICTURE<\/p>\r\n<p>Filmmaker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0942367\/\">Edgar Wright<\/a> has confirmed reports that a script has been completed for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt9646562\/\"><em><strong>Baby Driver 2<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, a sequel to his acclaimed action thriller, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt3890160\/\"><em><strong>Baby Driver<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, which was released in 2017. But Wright is still unsure when the film will go into production.<br \/><br \/>As he remarked on <em>The Discourse<\/em> podcast: \u201cThere is a script for <em><strong>Baby Driver 2.<\/strong><\/em> That is something that actually exists. But most filmmaking depends on factors beyond you \u2014 timing, financing, who\u2019s available. You\u2019re not always completely in control of those things.\u201d<br \/><br \/>Wright reminded his listeners that \u201cThe development process is a long one, and some things go and some things don\u2019t. People don\u2019t always understand that not all directors are completely in control of what order things get made in.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\u00a0<br \/><br \/>For one thing, two of the stars of the 2017 <em><strong>Baby Driver<\/strong><\/em> film, Ansel Elgort and Kevin Spacey, may not be available to reprise their roles due to personal issues. Other cast members included Jon Bernthal, Jamie Foxx, Eiza Gonzelez, and Jon Hamm.<br \/><br \/>In <em>The Discourse<\/em> podcast, Wright also attempted to squelch rumors that he and Simon Pegg were developing a film inspired by the Coen Brothers. \u201cI didn\u2019t hear about that,\u201d he declared, adding \u2018Where did the Coen Brothers thing come from?\u201d Wright suggested that the rumor stemmed from a stray comment that was misinterpreted and took on a life of its own.<br \/><br \/>The original <em><strong>Baby Driver<\/strong><\/em> movie grossed $227 million on a $34 million budget. Other of Wright\u2019s commercially successful films include <em><strong>The Adventures of Tintin<\/strong><\/em>, which grossed $374 million, and<em><strong> Ant-Man<\/strong><\/em>, clocking in at $519 million. His 2019 production of <em><strong>Last Night in Soho<\/strong><\/em>, however, garnered less-than-enthusiastic reviews by the critics.<br \/><br \/>Wright\u2019s next project is still unclear, though it\u2019s been speculated that he may work on a remake of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/news\/ni64584728\/\"><em><strong>Barbarella<\/strong> <\/em><\/a>starring Sydney Sweeney.
