Since then, several writers and directors have tried their hand at the proposed film, accounting for the delay in production. Among the screenwriters who passed through the revolving door have been Beau DeMayo, Michael Green, Stacy Osei-Kuffour, Eric Pearson, Nic Pizzolatto, and Michael Starrbury. <br \/><br \/>News of the reported cancellation was first reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm2188309\/\">Jeff Sneider<\/a> on his podcast, <em>The Hot Mic<\/em>, where he was quoted as saying: \u201cI\u2019m hearing <em><strong>Blade<\/strong> <\/em>is dead and it\u2019s a <em><strong>Midnight Sons<\/strong> <\/em>movie. [Blade] will not be introduced in a solo movie. He will be introduced in <em><strong>Midnight Sons<\/strong><\/em>.\u201d Again, this is just a rumor for now, so fans should take it with a grain of salt.\u201d<\/p>\r\n<p><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\u00a0<br \/><br \/>Commenting on these reports, Chris Agar wrote on <a href=\"https:\/\/comicbook.com\/movies\/news\/marvels-blade-gets-a-devastating-update-but-the-new-rumor-may-be-even-better\/\">comicbook.com<\/a> that a new <em><strong>Midnight Sons<\/strong> <\/em>movie would be an advantageous strategy for the MCU. \u201cIn addition to serving as a launchpad for Ali\u2019s Blade, a <em><strong>Midnight Sons<\/strong><\/em> movie would be an opportunity to continue arcs for characters Marvel fans haven\u2019t seen in years,\u201d he stated, adding that \u201cMoon Knight\u2019s future has been a hot topic of speculation since his miniseries premiered back in 2022. If Marvel doesn\u2019t have plans to make a second season of the show, Moon Knight could return in <em><strong>Midnight Sons<\/strong><\/em>, giving Oscar Isaac a chance to further develop a compelling character.\u201d <br \/><br \/>It is also being speculated by Agar that the shelving of <em><strong>Blade<\/strong> <\/em>is part of Marvel president Kevin Feige\u2019s strategy of reducing the number of new releases in the wake of the \u201cunevenness\u201d of the <em><strong>Multiverse Saga<\/strong><\/em>. As Agar put it, \u201cIt\u2019s possible the higher-ups feel it\u2019s better to make a team-up movie instead of a film revolving around a single hero.
