Kore-eda will write the script, to be produced by Redmayne in collaboration with Jonathan King and Ash Sarohia. <br \/><br \/>Over a three-decade career, Kore-eda has created an impressive body of work that includes <em><strong>After Life<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Maborosi<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Still Walking<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Like Father, Like Son<\/strong><\/em>, and <em><strong>After the Storm<\/strong><\/em>. One of his first documentaries, <em><strong>August Without Him<\/strong><\/em>, was released in 1994. It depicted his friendship with Hirata Yutaka, who was suffering from AIDS. While Kore-eda&#8217;s filmography is often compared to that of Yasujiro Ozu, he has said he has said he feels more influenced by the work of Ken Loach and Mikio Naruse.\u00a0<br \/><br \/>Released in 2018, Kore-eda&#8217;s film <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1519666\/\"><strong>Shoplifters<\/strong><\/a> <\/em>was one of the most acclaimed Japanese films in recent years, grossing $72 million at the global box office. it won the Palme d\u2019Or at the Cannes,Film Festival in addition to being Japan\u2019s official submission to the Oscars, receiving a nomination for Best Foreign Language Film. Kore-eda also directed <em><strong>The Truth<\/strong><\/em>, a French feature, and <em><strong>Broker<\/strong><\/em>, a Korean feature. His most recent works are <em><strong>Monster<\/strong><\/em>, which will be released by Neon later this year, and <em><strong>Sheep in the Box<\/strong><\/em>, based on the manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto.<\/p>\r\n<p>The 44-year old Redmayne will be seen later this year opposite Julia Roberts in the Warner Bros. production of <em><strong>Panic Carefully<\/strong><\/em>. He won an Oscar for his performance as Steven Hawking in <em><strong>The Theory of Everything<\/strong><\/em>. Redmayne recently captured Golden Globe, SAG, and Critics Choice nominations for his appearance in<em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em> which recently premiered on Peacock\/Sky with him as He also one of the producers.
