The author is a creative consultant on the franchise.<\/p>\n<p>Yeoh will co-star with <b><i>Vikings<\/i><\/b> alum Laurence O\u2019Fuarain, who will play the warrior Fjall in <strong>The Witcher :\u00a0<\/strong><b><i>Blood Origin<\/i><\/b>. <b><i>The Vampire Diaries<\/i><\/b> and <b><i>The Originals<\/i><\/b> writer Declan de Barra is onboard as executive producer and showrunner.<\/p>\n<p>The original series, <b><i>The Witcher<\/i><\/b>, debuted in 2019 with <b><i>Man of Steel<\/i><\/b><i> <\/i>and <b><i>Justice League<\/i><\/b> actor Henry Cavill in the lead role. Season 2 is expected to premiere later this year. \u00a0Yeoh\u2019s other credits include <b><i>Star Trek: Discovery, Boss Level, Last Christmas, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Lady, Kung Fu Panda 2, Tomorrow Never Dies<\/i><\/b> and <b><i>Sunshine<\/i><\/b>.
