The 49th Japan Academy Awards ceremony was held on March 13 at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa, International Hall Pamir.<\/p>\n

The film \u201dKokuho<\/strong><\/a>\u201d won 10 awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Leading Actor. During the ceremony, Chieko Baisho of \u201cTOKYO Taxi<\/strong><\/a>,\u201d who was selected for Best Actress, reminisced about the 1978 ceremony when the film \u201cThe Yellow Handkerchief<\/strong>\u201d swept the major categories at the 1st Japan Academy Awards.<\/p>\n
