The Horror Section, a media company focused on creating the world\u2019s premier genre brand, today announced that horror auteur Eli Roth<\/a>\u2019s chilling new film “Ice Cream Man<\/a>“<\/i><\/b>\u00a0will hit theaters August 7, 2026. The film will have a theatrical run in North America on over 2000 screens via Iconic Events Releasing.<\/p>\n

Ice Cream Man<\/i> follows an idyllic summer town descending into madness when an ice cream man serves kids sweet delights with horrifying results. The film stars Ari Millen (\u201cOrphan Black<\/strong>\u201d) as the titular character, along with Benjamin Byron Davis (“Guardians of the Galaxy 3<\/strong>“<\/i>), Karen Cliche (“Thanksgiving<\/strong>“<\/i>), Dylan Hawco (\u201cHeartland<\/strong>\u201d), Sarah Abbott (Netflix\u2019s “The Body<\/strong>“, “Poser<\/strong>“<\/i>), Shiloh O\u2019Reilly (“Thanksgiving”<\/i><\/strong>), Kiori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Zeltzer (\u201cThe Handmaid’s Tale<\/strong>\u201d), and Charlie Storey (“Thanksgiving<\/strong>“<\/i>).<\/p>\n

Rounding out the cast is Roth himself, the visionary behind the “Cabin Fever<\/strong><\/a>“<\/i> franchise, the “Hostel<\/strong><\/a>” <\/i>franchise, and “Thanksgiving“<\/i>, among many other cult classics. Along with directing and producing the film, Roth co-wrote the script with longtime collaborator Noah Belson (“The Rotten Fruit<\/strong>“<\/i>). The film features an original score from Emmy Award\u00ae-winning composer Brandon Roberts with additional music by Snoop Dogg, and horrifying prosthetic makeup effects by Steve Newburn (“Thanksgiving<\/strong>“<\/i>) and Academy Award\u00ae winner Adrien Morot (“Thanksgiving<\/strong>“<\/i>, “The Whale<\/strong>“<\/i>). Cream Productions\u2019 Kate Harrison (“Thanksgiving<\/strong>“<\/i>) served as producer alongside Roth.<\/p>\n<\/ins>\n

“Ice Cream Man<\/strong>” <\/i>is Roth\u2019s first film under The Horror Section\u2019s banner, following the company\u2019s launch in March 2025. GRAMMY award-winning rap icon Nas served as Executive Producer through The Horror Section\u2019s partnership with his Mass Appeal outfit \u2013 in which the two entities will collaborate across many aspects of the business, including Roth and Nas co-developing film and television projects \u2013 alongside Mass Appeal CEO Peter Bittenbender.<\/p>\n

The Horror Section super-serves fans by owning and controlling a premium intellectual property library of horror films, television series, games, and podcasts, in addition to curating horror-centric experiences.
