Netflix<\/a> has confirmed that the third season of its live-action series “One Piece<\/strong><\/a>” will be back on screens in 2027, having already been in production in South Africa since the end of last year.<\/p>\n

The streamer revealed the subtitle for the third season, “The Battle of Alabasta<\/strong>“, which is a sequel to the second season’s ‘Into the Grand Line’, and provided a graphic-centric promo that showcases the desert setting that will dominate the run.<\/p>\n

In the finale of the second season, Joe Manganiello’s Crocodile\/Mr. 0, and the remaining Baroque Works members are expected to play the primary opponents for the new season, including returnee Lera Abova as Nico Robin\/Miss All-Sunday along with newly cast Cole Escola as Bon Kurei\/Mr. 2, Awdo Awdo as Daz Bonez\/Mr. 1 and Daisy Head as Zala\/Miss Doublefinger.<\/p>\n

The straw hats crew at the end of the second season all return including I\u00f1aki Godoy<\/a> as Monkey D. Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu<\/a> as Roronoa Zoro, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Charithra Chandran as Princess Vivi and Mikaela Hoover as the voice of Tony Tony Chopper.<\/p>\n

Sendhil Ramamurthy, who plays Vivi\u2019s father Nefartari Cobra, is also back. The biggest addition of the whole season is \u201cCobra Kai\u201d star Xolo Maridue\u00f1a who will make his debut as Portgas D. Ace.<\/p>\n

In the two previous seasons, around 46 anime episodes were transformed into 8 live-action episodes. The season is expected to be easily dominated by the 38-episode Alabasta arc in the anime. It’s uncertain if the smaller arcs that follow, like Goat Island or Jaya, will also be modified.<\/p>\n<\/ins>\n

\u201cWar is coming for Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew in the desert kingdom of Alabasta, Princess Vivi\u2019s homeland. A rebellion threatens to tear the nation apart, fueled in secret by one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, the ruthless Sir Crocodile, and his underground syndicate Baroque Works, who seek to conquer Alabasta for themselves.<\/i><\/p>\n

In a season defined by unbreakable bonds and impossible choices, the Straw Hats must face a brewing civil war and a powerful warlord to save Vivi\u2019s kingdom before it crumbles into the sand.\u201d <\/i><\/p>\n

On March 10th of this year, the second season made its debut on the streaming service and was awarded 100% critics and 95% audience review scores on Rotten Tomatoes.<\/p>\n
