Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chairman Adam Fogelson has given a review of the follow-up to Michael Jackson’s biopic “Michael<\/strong>“,which was released last weekend.<\/p>\n

Fogelson made an appearance on Matt Belloni’s The Town podcast and revealed that a sequel is in the works after the biopic broke records with a $218 million worldwide opening weekend.<\/p>\n

The initial film details the emergence of the Jackson 5 in 1966 by giving a brief glimpse of the ‘Bad’ tour in 1988. The release of Jackson’s ‘Bad’ and ‘Dangerous’ albums, as well as his Super Bowl halftime performance and everything beyond, could potentially be covered in a second film, according to Fogelson’s suggestion. Fogelson states that there is a significant amount of music and life experiences that are not connected to allegations… that would fill more than a second movie on its own.<\/p>\n<\/ins>\n

The sequel’s timeline is currently uncertain due to scheduling issues, as Director Antoine Fuqua is currently filming a Netflix project with Denzel Washington and producer Graham King is working on multiple projects.<\/p>\n

When asked if the sequel would address the sexual abuse accusations that defined Jackson in the latter stages of his career, he replied: ‘It’s a complicated question, and I’m not sure if I consider myself the best person or at this time is the best time.’<\/p>\n<\/ins>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
