The Resurrection Of The Christ Part One and Part Two have been in development for several years. However, based on Lee-Kim\u2019s update, overall production is now nearing completion.<\/p>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm3663897\/?ref_=tt_ov_3_2\">Jaakko Ohtonen<\/a>\uff08Jesus) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm6375242\/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_0_nm_8_in_0_q_Mariela%20Garriga\">Mariela Garriga<\/a>\uff08Mary Magdalene) are the new cast for Gibson&#8217;s upcoming movies, which will feature a completely different cast. Peter is played by Pier Luigi Pasino, Kasia Smutniak is played by Kasia Smutniak, Riccardo Scamarcio is played by Riccardo Scamarcio, and Abraham is played by Rupert Everett.<\/p>\n<p>The director has previously described parts of the movie as \u201csome crazy stuff.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comingsoon.net\/movies\/news\/2127781-passion-of-christ-sequels-resurrection-wrap-production-mel-gibson\">Gibson added<\/a>, \u201cI think in order to tell the story properly, you have to really start with the fall of the angels, which means you\u2019re in another place, you\u2019re in another realm. You need to go to hell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The new movies are expected to have the same box office success as the 2004 film. The R-rated version original film generated over $620 million globally despite a $25 million production budget, as per The Numbers.
