Film at Lincoln Center Announced that James Gray<\/a>\u2019s “Paper Tiger<\/strong><\/a>“<\/i>\u00a0is the Opening Night selection of the 64th New York Film Festival, presented in partnership with Rolex. The film will make its North American premiere in a gala debut at Alice Tully Hall on Friday, September 25, with Gray and members of the cast and crew in attendance.<\/p>\n

Starring Adam Driver<\/a>, Miles Teller, and Scarlett Johansson, the film premiered in competition at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.\u00a0Paper Tiger<\/i> is Gray\u2019s fourth film to be selected for the New York Film Festival, following “The Immigrant<\/strong>” <\/i>(2013) as an official Main Slate selection; “The Lost City of Z<\/strong>” <\/i>(2016) as the Closing Night film; and “Armageddon Time<\/strong>“<\/i>\u00a0(2022) as a Main Slate selection and the festival\u2019s 60th Anniversary Screening.<\/p>\n
