The actor, famous for his ability to shift shapes and his clay-like skin, is portrayed by Tom Rhys Harries in a film with a touch of Hollywood that tells the tale of a performer who gets disfigured after a confrontation with a local crime syndicate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">An official synopsis for the film reads: \u201cMatt Hagen\u2019s meteoric rise from Gotham street kid to Hollywood leading man is tragically cut short when a local crime boss\u2019 actions leave him horribly disfigured. Abandoned by his team and with nothing left, Matt seeks out a cutting edge treatment that miraculously returns him to his former self \u2026 but also unexpectedly affects his grip on reality, spiraling him down a destructive path of all-consuming revenge.\u201d<\/p>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<p class=\"p2\">The movie also includes <a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?s=Naomi+Ackie\">Naomi Ackie<\/a>, David Dencik, Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan, Nancy Carroll, and Joshua James as actors. &#8220;<strong>Clayface<\/strong>&#8221; is undoubtedly the sharpest illustration to date of DC&#8217;s leader, James Gunn, as he had expressed his intention to utilize superhero brands to delve into different genres. Despite Clayface not being a top choice among DC characters, Gunn insisted on greenlighting it at the beginning of his tenure due to Flanagan&#8217;s compelling pitch for a genuine superhero horror film.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">In addition to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt8814476\/?ref_=fn_t_1\"><b>\u201cSupergirl\u201d<\/b><\/a>\u00a0and \u201c<strong>Clayface<\/strong>,\u201d the studio is also planning to release the most ambitious TV project to date, HBO\u2019s \u201c<strong>Lanterns<\/strong>.\u201d Given that Gunn did not write or direct any of the projects (he\u2019s busy with his \u201c<strong>Superman<\/strong>\u201d sequel \u201c<strong>Man of Tomorrow<\/strong>\u201d), the projects will be seen by many as the first real looks at his work as a studio head alongside co-CEO Peter Safran.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Warner Bros. will release \u201c<strong>Clayface<\/strong>\u201d in theaters on Friday, October 23.
