Vincent Pastore, a native of the Bronx, a performer widely recognized for portraying villains in movies and television, has passed away. He was 80. Today, the veteran actor was discovered dead in his Bronx residence, and the cause of death is under investigation.<\/p>\n

Pastore was a limo driver when he met actors Matt and Kevin Dillon who attended a community play where he was performing, they facilitated his entry into the industry.<\/p>\n

He had small roles in popular 1990s crime films such as “Goodfellas<\/strong>,” “Carlito’s Way<\/strong>” and “Men of Respect<\/strong>,” as well as “Gotti<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

He truly excelled in Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero’s role on HBO’s “The Sopranos<\/strong>.” The character, Tony Soprano\u2019s (James Gandolfini), longtime\u00a0best friend and mob enforcer turned FBI Informant.<\/p>\n

Pastore went on to plenty of film work including \u201cMickey Blue Eyes<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cRiding in Cars with Boys<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cShark Tale<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cMoney Train<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cRevolver<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cDeuces Wild<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cServing Sara<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cBachelor Party Vegas<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cOnce Upon a Time in Brooklyn<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cSpinning Gold<\/strong>\u201d and more.<\/p>\n

On TV he appeared on series like \u201cLaw & Order<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cThe Practice<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cHawaii Five-0<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cThe Last Don II<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cYellowjackets<\/strong>\u201d and daytime soap \u201cOne Life to Live<\/strong>\u201d. He was also appeared some reality television on \u201cDancing With the Stars<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cCelebrity Apprentice<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cCelebrity Family Feud\u201d.<\/p>\n
