\u201cThe first season set up the promise of entering the Grand Line,\u201d co-showrunner, executive producer, and writer Joe Tracz tells Tudum. \u00a0\u201cWe\u2019re going to make good on that promise,\u201d he says of Season 2, which is titled “ONE PIECE: Into the Grand Line<\/strong>“<\/i>.<\/p>\n

In the extraordinary adventure, Luffy (played by I\u00f1aki Godoy), Nami (Emily Rudd), Zoro (Mackenyu), Usopp (Jacob Romero), and Sanji (Taz Skylar) journey through an unpredictable realm where they\u2019ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of deadly new adversaries from Baroque Works, the dangerous and formidable secret society of assassins that was teased in Season 1 (RIP Mr. 7).<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery place they stop in the Grand Line is going to test one of the Straw Hats in a unique way,\u201d Tracz notes. \u201cThey\u2019re going to learn that if they\u2019re going to fulfill their dreams, they have to have each other\u2019s backs.\u201d<\/p>\n

About the Character<\/div>\n

Enemies beware:\u00a0Zoro is a lethal pirate hunter<\/a>\u00a0on a mission to fulfill a promise to become the world\u2019s greatest swordsman. To do so, he must defeat the best of the best.<\/p>\n

At the end of Season 1, Zoro joined his Straw Hats crewmates around a barrel and pledged to achieve his dreams with them by his side. In Season 2, he\u2019s determined to see it through. \u201cZoro is stronger, sharper, and more powerful,\u201d Mackenyu says. \u201cHe has become a lot more dangerous and deadly.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

About the Character<\/div>\n

Sanji, the honorable chef of the crew,<\/a>\u00a0is as charming and flirtatious as Laboon is large. He dreams of finding the All Blue, said to be the only place in the world where fish from all four seas \u2014 East Blue, West Blue, North Blue, and South Blue \u2014 can be found.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s very individualist in the sense that he does his own thing,\u201d Skylar says. Season 2 is \u201cvery much about him learning to exist within the team [and] rely on people, which is something I don\u2019t think comes very naturally to him.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
