Paramount<\/a> and Skydance<\/a> have unveiled the uplifting first trailer for the film directed by David Corenswet<\/a> titled “Mr. Irrelevant<\/strong><\/a>“, which will hit theaters on Christmas Day.<\/p>\n

Coreswet, who stars in “Superman<\/strong>“, plays John Tuggle, the running back dubbed ‘Mr. Irrelevant’ post-1983 NFL draft, which saw him selected as the last choice in the final round.<\/p>\n

He became the first player in NFL history to be selected last in the draft and still make it to the team that took him. The movie’s test screenings have produced remarkable results, scoring 100s from women aged 35 and above and 95s from men in the same age bracket. That success reportedly played a role in Jonathan Levine, the film’s director, securing the sought-after “Days of Thunder 2<\/strong>” project.<\/p>\n

Isabel May, Michael Shannon and David Krumholtz co-star in the film which will now open amidst a crazy busy period in which \u201cAvengers: Doomsday<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cDune: Part Three<\/strong>\u201d and a new \u201cJumanji<\/strong>\u201d film are all set to battle at the box-office.<\/p>\n
