Australian pop star Kylie Minogue<\/a> was nearly featured in the upcoming “Street Fighter<\/strong><\/a>” movie, as one of its actors, musician Orville Peck<\/a>, revealed.<\/p>\n

Three decades ago, in the 1994 film adaptation, a young Minogue played Cammy, a role that also featured Jean-Claude Van Damme<\/a>, Raul Julia, and Ming Na.<\/p>\n

Peck, who previously worked with Minogue and still maintains a friendship with her, portrays Vega in the latest version, which debuted in cinemas on Friday.<\/p>\n

While chatting with Queerty<\/a> about the film, he disclosed his attempt to get Minogue to do a cameo appearance, though scheduling conflicts thwarted that plan: \u201cThey were trying to get Kylie to do a cameo in our “Street Fighter<\/strong>“. They were having a hard time getting ahold of her or whatever, and I was like, \u2018Guys, I can text her.\u2019 <\/i><\/p>\n

So, I was trying to orchestrate this whole thing, and it didn\u2019t work out with timing. She was gonna be so down to do it. But of course, I immediately told Kylie when I got cast. She told me how filming their “Street Fighter<\/strong>” was one of the most fun experiences of her life, and she was like, \u2018I\u2019m so excited for you to get to do that.’\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n
