According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/news\/2021-08-19\/mamoru-oshii-ghost-in-the-shell-film-gets-imax-screenings-in-u.s-japan\/.176456\">Anime News Network<\/a>, the remastered version of the film is coming to both the United States and Japan on September 17<sup>th<\/sup>, including 76 IMAX theaters in the US and 35 IMAX theaters in Japan. Regular theater screenings will follow in Japan beginning October 1<sup>st<\/sup>.
