After winning numerous awards for her performance in the Netflix limited series The Queen\u2019s Gambit<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 she\u2019s also up for an Emmy Award for the role next month \u2013 Taylor-Joy has plenty on her plate, and she\u2019s just added one more project that\u2019s sure to be hotly anticipated. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times<\/a>, Taylor-Joy shared that she is teaming up once again with director Robert Eggers on a remake of the classic 1992 horror film Nosferatu<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Taylor-Joy\u2019s first film, the New England-set chiller The Witch<\/em><\/strong>, was directed by Eggers, and the two have already worked together again, on The Northman<\/em><\/strong>, which also stars Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe, and Alexander Skarsg\u00e5rd, and recently wrapped production in Iceland, set for release next year. The Witch<\/em> <\/strong>debuted to critical acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival in 2015 and was released the following year by A24. Eggers also directed The Lighthouse<\/em><\/strong>, starring Dafoe and Robert Pattinson, which opened in 2019.<\/p>\n

Taylor-Joy has taken on other horror roles, like in M. Night Shyamalan\u2019s Split<\/em><\/strong>. Speaking about her passion for great characters, Taylor-Joy shared that \u201cMy favorite situations are when people are self-described weirdos and they feel comfortable. That\u2019s all I want to do: make people feel like whatever they\u2019re bringing to the table is a beautiful expression of their originality.\u201d When asked about how busy she is, Taylor-Joy added, \u201cAll my friends are always like, \u2018What are you doing?!? Take … a … break. But the roles are too good. I wouldn\u2019t be able to deal with it if I didn\u2019t say yes.<\/p>\n
