“The Guilty<\/strong>” is actually a remake of a 2018 Danish film of the same name,\u00a0 <\/span>written by Nic\u00a0Pizzolatto\u00a0(“The Magnificent Seven<\/strong>,”\u00a0 <\/span>“True Detective<\/strong>“) and directed by previous Gyllenhaal collaborator, Antoine Fuqua (“Training Day,<\/strong>” “The Equalizer<\/strong>,” “Southpaw<\/strong>“).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The film entered production in the midst of rising coronavirus cases in Los Angeles, forcing the crew to adjust.\u00a0<\/span>Jake Gyllenhaal performing in a walled-off set with little to no contact with anyone else in the cast, Fuqua also had to direct the film from inside a van parked down the street.<\/p>\n
