I had the pleasure of interviewing the talented and congenial Manny Perez<\/a> back in April \u2013 my very first interview for CinemaDailyUS.com \u2013 when he was starring in Night of the Sicario<\/em><\/strong>, and he mentioned during that conversation that he was finishing work on a sequel to La Soga<\/em><\/strong>, which premiered in 2009 at the Toronto International Film Festival.<\/p>\n

Now, with this year\u2019s edition of TIFF in full swing, Perez is back in Toronto and ready to world premiere La Soga 2<\/em><\/strong>, which also serves as his directorial debut. The eternally gracious Perez was more than happy to take some time on the eve of the film\u2019s opening to share what\u2019s different about the sequel and how he feels about sharing this story with audiences.<\/p>\n
