Actor Chris Rock revealed on Twitter earlier this week that he has contracted COVID-19, according to CBS News<\/a>. The message that he shared was short and simple: \u201cHey guys I just found out I have COVID, trust me you don’t want this. Get vaccinated.\u201d In May, Rock went on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/i><\/b> and said that he had been vaccinated.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m vaccinated. I’m two shots Rock. That’s what they call me. I got Johnson & Johnson.\u201d He also shared then that he had wanted to get the vaccine as quickly as possible, joking that he skipped the line. \u201cI didn’t care. I used my celebrity. I didn’t care. I was like, ‘Hey, step aside, Betty White.\u2019 I was like Billy Zane on the Titanic. Leo died, Billy Zane lived to see another day. I don’t wanna be Leo at the bottom of the ocean!\u201d Rock is the latest actor to contract COVID-19 after being fully vaccinated, following other recent reported cases including Hilary Duff and Melissa Joan Hart.<\/p>\n

Rock\u2019s emphasis on the importance of getting vaccinated stands in stark contrast to the disinformation being disseminated by other celebrities, including rapper Nicki Minaj, who promoted a false claim that the vaccine leads to swollen testicles and impotence.
