Anthony Hopkins has reunited with his The Father<\/strong><\/em> filmmaker Florian Zeller for a second movie called The Son<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0<\/span>Zeller adapted his play The Son<\/em> for the screen. <\/span><\/p>\n

“After our journey on <\/span>The Father<\/i><\/strong>, I couldn\u2019t make another film without Anthony,” Zeller said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>. “He was the first one to read <\/span>The Son<\/i><\/strong>\u2018s script, as one of its characters was written especially for him. Having him by our side to tell this new story has been an honor, a profound joy and very emotional.<\/p>\n

The film was already wrapped, shot in New York, France and London, which is about the disruption of a young family’s lives by the arrival of the man\u2019s ex-wife and teen-age son. <\/span>T<\/span>he character Hopkins will play has not been disclosed.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The movie\u2019s ensemble cast includes Zen McGrath, Hugh Jackman, Vanessa Kirby and Laura Dern, then\u00a0<\/span>Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Joanna Laurie and Christophe Spadone are among the project\u2019s producers.<\/span><\/p>\n
