Actress Chlo\u00eb Grace Moretz is open to the idea of revisiting the Hit-Girl character that made her famous in the 2010 film Kick-Ass<\/em><\/strong>. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em><\/strong> last night, Fallon asked Moretz whether a third film was in development, according to The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>. Moretz\u2019s response didn\u2019t indicate whether anything is actually happening, but rather that she would consider taking on the role again if all the pieces fell into place.<\/p>\n

She expressed that \u201cI would love to do a Kick-Ass 3<\/em><\/strong>. I think it would be really fun to see where Hit-Girl goes and what she is like as an adult. But I think it would have to be kind of perfect. I feel like it would need to be, across the board, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chris Mintz-Plasse and the whole crew back together.\u201d<\/p>\n

The first Kick-Ass<\/em><\/strong> catapulted the then-thirteen-year-old Moretz to fame after a number of earlier TV credits to her name. Based on the Marvel Comics series from Mark Millar and John Romita, Jr., the violent superhero comedy was directed by Matthew Vaughn and starred Moretz as Mindy McCready, also known as Hit-Girl. Taylor-Johnson played the title character and Mintz-Plasse was Red Mist, the villain. A sequel, Kiss-Ass 2<\/em><\/strong>, was released in 2013, with Jeff Wadlow taking over directing duties, but reviews and box office numbers were not very impressive.<\/p>\n

Moretz has made many films since her big-screen breakthrough. She has worked with established directors like Martin Scorsese on Hugo<\/em><\/strong> and starred opposite veteran actresses like Juliette Binoche and Isabelle Huppert in Clouds of Sils Maria <\/em><\/strong>and Greta<\/em><\/strong>, respectively. She also took on the iconic lead role in a remake of Carrie<\/em><\/strong> and anchored the action film Shadow in the Cloud<\/em><\/strong>. Her next project slated for release is Mother\/Android<\/em><\/strong>, a sci-fi drama coming to Hulu on December 17th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
