Following its success release of several documentaries focused on the music industry, Apple TV+ is now developing a documentary about the music and soundtracks of the James Bond<\/em><\/strong> movie franchise. The planned documentary, which is titled The Sound of 007<\/em><\/strong>, will explore the history of the soundtracks for the films, which span throughout the past six decades, Deadline<\/a> is reporting.<\/p>\n

The documentary is being directed by Mat Whitecross and produced by MGM, Eon Productions and Ventureland. The latter two companies previously worked together on the movie, Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007<\/em><\/strong>, which was released in 2012 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the James Bond<\/strong><\/em> film series in 2012.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the movie franchise, The Sound of 007<\/em><\/strong> will have its worldwide premiere in October. Dr. No<\/strong><\/em>, the first screen adaptation of author Ian Fleming’s hit book series the film franchise is based on, was released in 1962.<\/p>\n

The Sound of 007<\/em><\/strong> will explore the development of James Bond<\/em><\/strong>‘s iconic movie theme music, as well as the theme songs from the various films, including Sam Smith’s track, Writing’s on the Wall<\/em><\/strong>, from the 2015 movie, Spectre<\/i><\/strong>; Adele’s Academy and Grammy Award-winning tune, Skyfall<\/b><\/em>, from the 2012 film of the same name; and Madonna’s song, Die Another Day<\/strong><\/em>, from the 2002 movie of the same name. The Sound of 007<\/em><\/strong> will also feature interviews with the musicians and filmmakers who worked on the soundtracks, as well as archive material.<\/p>\n

The Sound of 007<\/em><\/strong> will join other several other high-profile documentaries and docuseries released by Apple TV+ over the past few years. The streaming service has also unveiled the Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize Award-winning movie, Boys State<\/em><\/strong>; The Me You Can’t See<\/em><\/strong>; and 1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything<\/em><\/strong>, a docuseries that shows how the musical icons of the time were influenced by the changing tides of history.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
