The Matrix <\/strong><\/em>and John Wick<\/strong> i<\/em>con Keanu Reeves said he has met with Marvel CEO Kevin Feige, but a role for him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe remains elusive.\u00a0“We haven’t yet,” Reeves told ComicBook.com<\/a> about what character they decided he should play. “We have met, and Kevin Feige’s a cool cat. Yeah. But no, we don’t have anything, gotta find something.”<\/p>\n

Feige said in 2019 that Marvel Studios had approached Reeves about “almost every film” it has made.\u00a0“I don’t know when, or if ever he’ll join the MCU,” Feige said at the time. “But we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.”<\/p>\n

His possible future appearance in the MCU wouldn’t be Reeves’ first foray into superhero territory. He also played the title character in the 2005 movie, Constantine, <\/strong><\/em>which was based on DC Comics’ Hellblazer<\/strong> <\/em>comics.The Matrix 4<\/strong><\/em> debuts in theaters and on HBO Max Wednesday. Reeves is up for a fifth installment in the franchise if filmmaker Lana Wachowski wants him to star in it.\u00a0“I mean, if she wanted to do another story and wanted to include me I would be honored and grateful,” he said in an interview with Digital Spy<\/a>. “And I’d like to see what happens to Trinity and Neo — and the world.”<\/p>\n

Reeves, 57, is also known for his performances in Parenthood, Point Blank, Speed, Bram Stoker’s Dracula<\/strong><\/em> and the Bill & Ted<\/strong><\/em> comedies.\u00a0Carrie-Anne Moss, 54, co-stars in The Matrix<\/strong> <\/em>movies. She has also acted in Marvel’s Jessica Jones<\/em>,\u00a0Daredevil<\/em>,\u00a0Iron Fist<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Defenders<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>series.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
