He was established filmmaker and I was just a waiter&#8230;but it didn&#8217;t matter as long as we talked the same language called&#8230;Cinema&#8230;\u3000\uff08By Nobuhiro Hosoki)<\/p>\n<p><b>Filmmaker Profile<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Laurence T. Fessenden<\/b><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span> is an American actor, writer, editor, cinematographer, director and producer. He founded the New York based independent production company, Glass Eye Pix in 1985, which he continued to support the individual voices in the arts.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Fessenden regards the old Universal Monsters as a substantial influence for him.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>He is the director of the art-horror films, Depraved, No Telling, Habit,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Wendigo and The Last Winter, as well as he TV films Skin and Bones and Beneath.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He wrote the screenplay of <i>Orphanage<\/i> with Guillermo del Toro, an English-language remake of <i>El Ophanato<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>As an actor, Fessenden has appeared in numerous films, including Martin Scorsese\u2019s <i>Bring Out the Dead<\/i>, Steve Buscemi\u2019s <i>Animal Factory<\/i>, Brad Anderson\u2019s <i>Session 9<\/i><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>and <i>Vanishing on 7th street<\/i>, Jim Jarmusch\u2019s Broken Flowers, Neil Jordan\u2019s <i>the Brave One<\/i>, Glenn McQuaid&#8217;s <i>I Sell the Dead<\/i> for which he won best actor at the Slamdance Film Festival; Kelly Reichardt&#8217;s Wendy and Lucy, Jim Mickle&#8217;s <i>Mulberry Street <\/i>and Stake Land,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Jo\u2019e Swanberg\u2019s <i>All the Lights in the Sky<\/i>, and T\u2019ed Geoghegan\u2019s <i>We Are Still Here<\/i>. Fessenden also starred in theSundance Film Festival picture <i>River of Grass<\/i>, which was Kelly Reichardt&#8217;s debut feature.<\/p>\n<p>Fessenden has also established a strong presence in the video game world. In 2015, he and Graham Reznick collaborated on writing the video game <i>Until Dawn<\/i>.
