Vitti also played opposite Richard Harris in Antonioni\u2019s first color film, <i>Red Desert<\/i> (1965), mouthing her now-famous line \u201cMy hair hurts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Later in the 1960s, Vitti appeared in a number of non-Italian productions, including <strong><i>Modesty Blaise<\/i><\/strong> (1966) with Terence Stamp and Dirk Bogarde, <i>and <strong>On My Way to<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>the Crusades<\/strong>, <strong>I Met a Girl Who<\/strong>\u2026<\/i> (1967) with Tony Curtis. She later made a few films with the comedic actor Alberto Sordi, such as <strong><i>Polvere di stelle<\/i> <\/strong>(1973) and <strong><i>I Know That You Know That I Know<\/i> <\/strong>(1982). She also appeared as Mrs. Foucauld in Luis Bu\u00f1uel\u2019s 1974 surrealist comedy <i><strong>The Phantom of Liberty<\/strong>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Describing her collaboration with Antonioni,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Gilberto Perez wrote \u201cIn her films with him, Vitti is as much beholding as beheld, identified with the director, whose gaze she doubles.
