\u201d The logline for the show reads: \u201cHello, Wisconsin! It\u2019s 1995 and Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting her grandparents for the summer, where she bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red.<\/p>\n

Another pair of best buds is the video-obsessed Jay (Mace Coronel) and Gwen\u2019s older brother Nate (Maxwell Acee Donovan), who\u2019s always up for some fun. Nikki (Sam Morelos) is Nate\u2019s very focused and driven girlfriend, and Ozzie (Reyn Doi) is the sarcastic member of the group who wishes the world could accept the fact that he is gay like his friends do.<\/p>\n

For those craving familiarity, the character descriptions for Red and Kitty should provide some comfort. Red\u2019s reads \u201cA classic never goes out of style. When the new kids bring out the old Red, the spring in Red\u2019s step puts a spring in Kitty\u2019s too!\u201d while Kitty may finally be in her element: \u201cA whole new world opens to Kitty with the new generation and she is right at home. It has never been cooler to be Kitty.\u201d Both Smith and Rupp will serve as executive producers, along with showrunner Gregg Mettler, creators Bonnie Turner, Terry Turner, and Lindsey Turner, and Marcy Carsey and Tom Werner under The Carsey-Werner Company. The multi-camera series will consist of ten episodes. Deadline<\/a> also reports that original cast members such as Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Mila Kunis, and Ashton Kutcher are in negotiations to return.<\/p>\n
