NBC has released a new trailer of TV limited series, \u201cThe Thing about Pam.\u201dRen\u00e9e Zellweger made an incredible transformation, when she put on twenty-five pounds to play in \u201cBridget Jones’s Diary<\/i><\/strong>\u201d series, the two-time Academy Award winner gained her weight in order to star in a project for her upcoming NBC limited series The Thing About Pam<\/i><\/strong>. Based on the Dateline <\/i>podcast with the same name, the series centers around a brutal murder that revealed extremely dark schemes perpetrated by an ordinary woman called Pam Hupp<\/b> (Zellweger).<\/p>\n

The Thing About Pam<\/i><\/strong> is adapted for television by Jenny Klein<\/b>, who has written for Netflix\u2019s The Witcher<\/i>, Marvel’s Jessica Jones.\u00a0<\/i>Klein also serves as showrunner for the limited series.<\/p>\n

Aside from Zellweger, The Thing About Pam<\/i> also stars Judy Greer<\/b> as Leah Askey (the fierce prosecutor), Glenn Fleshler<\/b> as Russ Faria (the husband of the victim who was wrongfully convicted), Josh Duhamel<\/b> as Joel Schwartz (Russ\u2019s defense attorney), Sean Bridgers<\/b> as Mark Hupp (Pam\u2019s husband), and Mac Brandt<\/b> as McCarrick, a detective assigned to investigate the murder of Betsy Faria.<\/p>\n

Synopsis<\/strong> : NBC’s “The Thing About Pam” is based on the 2011 murder of Betsy Faria that resulted in her husband Russ’ conviction, although he insisted he didn’t kill her. He was later exonerated. This brutal crime set off a chain of events that would expose a diabolical scheme deeply involving Pam Hupp.<\/p>\n
