The actor and producer made the announcement <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CcJ-Yw0rCqd\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=c8bad424-ceb5-4a61-9ac5-09072dd0acb2\">via Instagram<\/a> late Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology,\u201d Diesel said in his post, which featured a picture of himself and Larson laughing. \u201cBeyond her beauty, her intellect\u2026 her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the FAMILY Brie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>The Fast and Furious 10<\/strong>\u201d will be directed by Justin Lin and speed into theaters on May 19, 2023. Diesel will be back as Dom Toretto, as will the rest of his crew, including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Sung Kang and Charlize Theron, who\u2019s played the villain Cypher since \u201cThe Fate of the Furious.\u201d In addition to Larson, Daniela Melchior and Jason Momoa will make their debuts in the series.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>last year, Dwayne Johnson, who played a tough as nails cop Luke Hobbs in five of \u201c<strong>The Fast and Furious<\/strong>\u201d series, declined a public invitation from Diesel to return to the biggest franchise of Universal Pictures. \u201c<strong>The Fast and Furious 10<\/strong>\u201d will be the penultimate chapter for the current cast of characters; an 11th movie, also directed by Lin, is set to be the final film in the Fast<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>and Furious Saga.<\/p>\n<p>Larson won the Best Actress Oscar for her turn in 2015\u2019s \u201c<strong>Room<\/strong>\u201d and made a leap into Marvel Cinematic Universe as Captain Marvel.
