As of press time, it\u2019s being reported that Louis Leterrier may be Universal\u2019s first choice, but no deal has yet materialized, pending the resolution of Leterrier\u2019s scheduling conflicts.<\/p>\r\n<p>The film began production in London last week. Lin reportedly severed his ties over creative\/scripting conflicts with star and co-producer Vin Diesel. Lin was apparently upset over changes to the script that he co-wrote with Dan Mazeau. On a personal note, as the child of Asian immigrants, I am proud of helping to build the most diverse franchise in movie history.
