Theaters across the globe are about to witness the return of blue. Paramount has made it a point to promote “Smurfs” heavily, ensuring that audiences are aware that Grammy-winning singer Rihanna is portraying Smurfette in the new movie.

Here’s synopsis reads : When Papa Smurf (John Goodman) is mysteriously taken by evil wizards, Razamel and Gargamel, Smurfette (Rihanna) leads the Smurfs on a mission into the real world to save him. With the help of new friends, the Smurfs must discover what defines their destiny to save the universe.

Besides Rihanna, the CG-animated family feature also stars, James Corden, Nick Offerman, JP Karliak, Daniel Levy, Amy Sedaris, Natasha Lyonne, Sandra Oh, Octavia Spencer, Nick Kroll, Hannah Waddingham, Alex Winter, Maya Erskine, Billie Lourd, Xolo Maridueña and Marshmello, with Kurt Russell and John Goodman.

The film, “Smurfs” is directed by Chris Miller, written by Pam Brady, Produced by Jay Brown, Tyran Smith, Rihanna, Ryan Harris. The film will release Date Jul 18, 2025.
