A Sacrifice : Exclusive interview with Actors Eric Bana and Sadie Sink

Eric Bana is an Australian actor. His debut was in the sketch comedy series Full Frontal before gaining recognition in the comedy drama The Castle (1997). He was recognized more highly by critics for his performance in the biographical crime film Chopper (2000) and as the titular character in Hulk (2003).

Bana’s performance in Black Hawk Down (2001), after ten years working in Australian TV shows and films, caught Hollywood’s attention. His role as Hector in the war epic Troy (2004) and his leading role in Steven Spielberg’s historical thriller Munich (2005) were both noteworthy. He played the villain Nero in Star Trek, a sci-fi film that received critical and commercial success in 2009.

Bana continued to work steadily in the 2010s, portraying Lieutenant commander Erik S. Kristensen in Lone Survivor (2013), and playing police sergeant Ralph Sarchie in the horror film Deliver Us from Evil (2014). In 2018, Bana played the title role in a true crime miniseries, Dirty John. In 2020, he returned to Australia to star in outback thriller The Dry.  In addition to acting, Bana is a motor racing enthusiast, and has participated in various racing competitions in Australia. Bana was appointed Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2019 Birthday Honours for his services to drama.

Sadie Sink is an American actress. At age seven, she began performing in local theater plays and took on the roles of Annie (2012-14) and young Elizabeth II in The Audience (2015) on Broadway. She made her first film appearance in 2016 with the biographical sports drama Chuck.

The actress made her breakthrough playing Max Mayfield in the Netflix science fiction series Stranger Things (2017–present), and received critical acclaim for her performance in its fourth season. In 2021, she was involved in the Fear Street horror film trilogy and acted as the protagonist in Taylor Swift’s short film All Too Well.
