The Women of “MobLand” Discuss Warring Factions, Family Matters, and Working With Guy Ritchie

Organized crime and the world of those that inhabit it has been a mainstay of the media landscape since the 1930’s. The new Paramount+ series MobLand, created by Ronan Bennett, builds off its predecessors to deliver its own style of the organized crime drama in the modern stage of the UK and Ireland.

Displaying shades of Gabriel Byrne in Miller’s CrossingTom Hardy stars as Harry Da Souza, the fixer for the powerful Harrigan Family. When the youngest of the Harrigan Clan handles a situation poorly, it causes Harry to kick into high gear. Of course, it doesn’t help that the family matriarch (Helen Mirren‘s Maeve Harrigan) pulls the strings of the family head (Pierce Brosnan‘s Conrad Harrigan), muddying the waters along the way.

The first three episodes of MobLand contain many twists and turns with powerhouse performances from many high profile actors. And, with the first two episodes being directed by Guy Ritchie, a lot of eyes are on the mayhem and madness of the Harrigan’s. With the first episode already on the air, its time everyone should start their journey into MobLand.

Cinema Daily US sat down with Lara Pulver, Joanne Froggatt, and Mandeep Dhillon; three of the Harrigan and Da Souza family most important members to discuss the importance of their roles in the events of MobLand and working with Guy Ritchie.
