Disney+ has revealed the cast of the original series, “Unmasked,” which stars Kim Hye Soo and Jung Sung-il.

Unmasked” is an office comedy drama set against the backdrop of Korea’s first Investigative Journalism Bureau of a broadcasting company.

When an investigative news team crosses the point of no return, they will be given once last chance to save their careers in Unmasked  an edge-of-your-seat Korean thriller coming in the second half of 2024, exclusively to Disney+ (Hulu in the United States).

Here’s the synopsis, after years of alienating advertisers by breaking some of the country’s biggest and most contentious news stories, an investigative news team’s days are numbered after broadcasting an exceptionally controversial story. With time running out on their careers, the team are challenged to accomplish the impossible if they want to save their jobs – solve a twenty-year-old cold case involving a famous actor who disappeared without a trace.

Starring Kim Hye-soo(Signal, Smugglers) as tenacious leader Oh So-ryong, the passionate team leader of an investigative reporting team who fiercely pursues cases and incidents that even the prosecution and police cannot solve, and Jung Sung-il (The Glory, Our Blues) as rookie producer Han Do, who has no special skills yet, Unmasked is written by Gi Ryang, and directed by Yoo Seon-dong (The Uncanny counter).
