“Eddington” trailer from Ari Aster has been released, Ari Aster wrote and directed “Eddington“, a new A24 movie, which features Pedro Pascal, Joaquin Phoenix, and others.

A powder keg between a small-town sheriff (Phoenix) and a mayor (Pascal) ignites a confrontation between a neighbor in Eddington, New Mexico, according to the official synopsis

What is the story behind the Eddington trailer? In the film, Phoenix plays a sheriff of a small town in New Mexico and scrolls past a video that he says, ‘If you hold your life dear, you should consider changing your mind because the people of Eddington have a liking for guns’.

The film also stars Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, Clifton Collins Jr., William Belleau, Cameron Mann, Matt Gomez Hidaka, and Amélie Hoeferle.

Aster made his feature film directorial debut in 2018 with “Hereditary“. He followed that up with Midsommar in 2019 before then making Beau Is Afraid, which starred Phoenix, in 2023. All three of those movies were released through A24. Additionally, Aster produced 2023’s “Dream Scenario” with Nicolas Cage and served as an executive producer on 2024’s Sasquatch Sunset, 2025’s Death of a Unicorn, and more. He’s also attached to produce Yorgos Lanthimos’ new movie, Bugonia, which is an English-language remake of 2003’s Save the Green Planet! It will star Stone, Jesse Plemons, and Alicia Silverstone.

“Eddington” will be released in United States theaters on July 18, 2025, from A24.
