Lionsagte has dropped a new trailer for Mark Wahlberg’s action flick, “Flight Risk” which is directed by Mel Gibson.
Here’s the synopsis describe : In this high-stakes suspense thriller, Academy Award® nominee Mark Wahlberg plays a pilot transporting an Air Marshal (Michelle Dockery) accompanying a fugitive (Topher Grace) to trial. As they cross the Alaskan wilderness, tensions soar and trust is tested, as not everyone on board is who they seem.
A unhinged and balding Mark Wahlberg in the pilot seat, the new trailer for “Flight Risk“, a thriller by Mel Gibson, features an in-flight confrontation between Wahlberg’s psycho killer and Michelle Dockery’s FBI agent, her job is to escort a government witness (Topher Grace) to the trial, but he has a contract to shoot the turncoat before he can sing. Wahlberg’s performance as the follicle challenged hitman is clearly enjoyable, a departure from his usual heroic roles. Dockery, who is famous for her upper crust turns on “Downton Abbey,” is also going against the norm.
The film Produced by John Davis, John Fox, Bruce Davey, Mel Gibson, and Executive Producers Alex Lebovici, Jenny Hinkey, Vicki Christianson, Nick Guerra, Paul J. Diaz, Petr Jákl, Russell Hollander, Jon Huddle, Patrick Josten, Walter Josten, Jarrett Mahoney, Christopher Woodrow, K. Blaine Johnston, Ryan Donnell Smith, Natasha Stassen, Allen Cheney.
Wahlberg and Gibson recently collaborated on “Father Stu,” a faith-based drama from 2022. Gibson, whose A-list career was derailed by a controversial rant of racism, he hasn’t directed a film since 2016’s “Hacksaw Ridge,” which earned him an Oscar nomination. He previously won an Academy Award for “Braveheart” and also oversaw “Apocalypto” and “The Passion of the Christ.” He’s planning to make a follow-up to the religious epic. Wahlberg was last seen in Netflix’s “The Union,” a spy comedy that co-starred Halle Berry. Dockery appeared in “Here” alongside Tom Hanks and Robin Wright. And Grace appeared in the well-received horror film, “Heretic.”
Lionsgate is releasing the movie on Jan. 24.
