Thirty years ago, filmmaker Robert Zemeckis and Tom Hanks teamed with screenwriter Eric Roth and actress Robin Wright for Forrest Gump, which won six Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actor for Hanks, as well as Oscars for editing and visual effects.
Zemeckis’ latest film, Here, based on a graphic novel by Richard McGuire, is a very different movie, but it’s cut from some of the same cloth, because it tries to tell a generations-spanning story using modern technology with Hanks and Wright joined by Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly, Michelle Dockery, Ophelia Lovibond, Daniel Betts, and more.
Cinema Daily US writer Edward Douglas saw Here, and you can watch his review and learn what he thought about the movie in the video above.
