The live-action of “How to Train Your Dragon” trailer has been released by Universal Pictures, which is just after their Super Bowl spot over the weekend.
The iconic DreamWorks Animation title is being revisited in this project by Dean DeBlois, the director of the original film. The film, shot in IMAX for the Filmed For IMAX Program, was directed, written, and produced by DeBlois.
Hiccup (Mason Thames) sets apart on the rugged Isle of Berk due to the longstanding rivalry between Vikings and dragons. Hiccup, the gifted but unappreciated son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler), challenges centuries of custom by befriending Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. Hiccup is able to confront a world of fear and misunderstanding with the assistance of the fiery and ambitious Astrid (Nico Parker) and the eccentric blacksmith Gobber (Nick Frost).
In 2015, he worked with Chris Sanders to direct how to train your dragon, a loved coming-of-age fantasy, which began with the friendship between Viking boy Hiccup and his Night Fury dragon pal Toothless. DeBlois continued with “How To Train Your Dragon 2” in 2014 before concluding with “How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World” in 2018.
Universal chose the man who had a greater understanding of the story to lead a live-action remake of the first film in the saga instead of passing it on to another filmmaker. Their relationship, which is beyond all expectations, reveals the genuine nature of dragons and challenges the pillars of Viking society.
The film also stars Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Ruth Codd, Peter Serafinowicz, and Murray McArthur.
The live-action “How to Train Your Dragon” opens in cinemas on June 13th.
