Gravitas Ventures has released the official trailer for the documentary film “My Robot Sophia“, which was previously known as Sophia Originals. The documentary was first screened at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2022 and then at Mill Valley and Camerimage Film Festivals in the same year.
David Hanson, a restless inventor who aims to perfect the world’s most lifelike AI robot, is portrayed in this stirring and visually immersive documentary through his spirited pursuits. The company Hanson Robotics, based in Hong Kong, created ‘Sophia’, a popular Female social humanoid robot.
Sophia became active on February 14, 2016, and made her initial public appearance at SXSW in Austin, TX in mid-March 2016. Other companies have attempted to create lifelike sex dolls and other similar creations since then. It’s been almost a decade since she arrived, and it’s remarkable that David and Sophia are still struggling to find their place in the world.
Inventor David Hanson is determined to transform Sophia, the world’s most recognized humanoid robot, into a place of compassion and consciousness.
