Get ready for Senna, an upcoming limited series about the greatest Brazilian Formula 1 driver of all time: Ayrton Senna, who died in a racing accident 30 years ago.
The six-episode drama debuts Nov. 29, and now you can watch the first trailer. Gabriel Leone stars as the Brazilian driver who captured the attention of F1’s best and brightest — and, later, the entire world. As you can see in the clip above, Ayrton Senna was born to race. He ultimately claimed three world championships in the ultra-dangerous sport. The series tells the story of Senna’s racing career, as well as his life and relationships.
Below, see Leone in character as Senna on the racetrack holding the driver’s trademark green and yellow helmet, plus his co-stars in character as some of the important figures in the legend’s life. You can also watch the first teaser for the scripted series, which re-creates the historic moment when the F1 driver won for the first time in his hometown — after being stuck in sixth gear for the last seven laps. It’s a must-watch for fans of the docuseries Formula 1: Drive to Survive.
