Sony Pictures has released an official behind-the-scenes vignette for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” giving fans a look at the first day of production.
The start of filming for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” in Glasgow, Scotland marks the return of Tom Holland to the limelight. The BAFTA winner dressed up as Spider-Man on the first day of filming the fourth installment in the MCU web-slinger franchise, which was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, in a video that was shared by Sony.
“I feel good, man. It’s day one, my fourth ever day one on Spider-Man,” he said in the video. “You know, it’s funny, putting the suit on, it feels different this time, somehow. It’s also the first time we’ve ever had fans on set for day one, so it’s really exciting to share this with them.” Holland added, “We’ve got some familiar faces on set. I’m just gonna do my best, hopefully get it right. No pressure.”
Helmed by “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings“ director Cretton, producers include Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige returning. Zendaya will reprise her role as MJ, with Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas also joining the cast in undisclosed roles.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day will” release on July 24th, 2026.
