Today Apple Original Films unveiled the trailer for the upcoming thriller, The Gorge, starring Miles Teller, Anya Taylor-Joy and Sigourney Weaver.
Two highly-trained operatives Levi and Drasa(Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy) are appointed to posts in guard towers on opposite sides of a vast and highly classified gorge, protecting the world from an undisclosed, despite the dire warnings, the duo begin to communicate from across the vast space between them, sharing handwritten signs and they even play chess from across the divide. The budding romance turns into a rescue mission after a mishap and the unobserved evil lurking in the depths below, as Levi falls into the gorge and Drasa dives into the abyss to rescue him.
They bond from a distance while trying to stay vigilant in defending against an unseen enemy. When the cataclysmic threat to humanity is revealed to them, they must work together in a test of both their physical and mental strength to keep the secret in the gorge before it’s too late.
An Apple Original Film, The Gorge is directed by Scott Derrickson and written by Zach Dean. Hailing from Skydance Media, “The Gorge” is produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger for Skydance, alongside Scott Derrickson, C. Robert Cargill and Sherryl Clark through Crooked Highway as well as Adam Kolbrenner, Zach Dean and Gregory Goodman. Miles Teller executive produces.
Over the summer, it was announced that Teller has been tapped for a remake of the 1982 film, An Officer and a Gentleman and he’s also set to star in upcoming film Eternity with Elizabeth Olsen. Meanwhile, Taylor-Joy, whose Furiosa — the prequel to 2015’s Mad Max: Fury Road — arrived in May, is set to star in and executive produce the limited series Lucky, based on Marissa Stapley’s novel of the same name, according to Variety.
