Neon has dropped a full trailer for “The Life of Chuck“, writer-director Mike Flanagan’s latest feature take on Stephen King material that taken from the pages of the horrormeister’s 2020 novella, “If It Bleeds”.
This movie is not a horror flick by any means. The focus is not on the big questions of life, but rather on the beauty of connection, community, and the appreciation of small moments with each other.
This one’s decidedly not a horror flick. Rather, it’s about life’s big questions and the beauty of connection, community and appreciating the small moments with one another. Charles ‘Chuck’ Krantz’s life is chronicled in reverse order by this genre-bending ensemble picture, which explores the wonders of love, the heartbreak of loss, and the multitudes found within all of us as he ages.
Chuck grew up with his grandparents, Albie and Sarah (Mark Hamill and Mia Sara), who taught him the joys of music and dancing. Grandpa ensures that the boy is well-informed about practical matters in life.
The film also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Matthew Lillard, Carl Lumbly, Benjamin Pajak, Jacob Tremblay, Heather Langenkamp co-star, with Nick Offerman as the narrator.
Neon acquired the film, “The Life of Chuck” from Toronto after winning the Toronto Film Festival’s 2024 People’s Choice Award, and it will be released in theaters on June 6th.
