Pink Floyd is a staple of rock music and modern music in general. Even if there is someone who has never heard their music, they know the name. In the early 70’s, whilst finishing up their Meddle Tour and they were contacted by Adrian Maben with the proposal of making a “concert film” in and around the ruins of Pompeii.
What came of the offer is a one of a kind concert film/behind the scenes look at the band as they bring their most recent stage show to an abnormal stage intercut with interviews of the group as they record their future masterpiece, Dark Side of the Moon.
Now upgraded to 4K with the music remastered by Steve Wilson, the performance film is being shown on IMAX screens around the world. Is there anything new fans and newcomers can take from this upgraded version?
