Despite the series’ end in December 2022, fans have been eager to watch the sequel film, “Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc,” in theaters. The film’s release date in Japan is on September 19th and it’s scheduled to be released in the United States on October 24th a month later.
In order to bolster the film’s imminent release, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Crunchyroll released the first English Dub trailer for the movie on Wednesday. The trailer can also be viewed in Japanese with English subtitles.
The trailer then turns to Reze’s introduction, as Denji thought to himself about how he was going to fall for her. Reze seemed interested in Denji and expressed how she was willing to teach him everything.
The trailer soon focused on the film’s action scene, with Bomb Girl attacking Chainsaw Man. Denji asked why everyone was after his Chainsaw Heart but not his heart, suggesting that they only cared about his powers but not his emotions.
Tatsuya Yoshihara, who previously directed the fourth and tenth episodes of the TV anime series and directed much of the “Black Clover” TV anime, directs the upcoming movie. Hiroshi Seko returns to write the script along with Kazutaka Sugiyama as Character Designer, all at MAPPA. Souta Yamazaki and Shun work as the Sub Character Designer, with Sota Shigetsugu as Action Animation Director and Shoichi as the Main Animator. Riki Matsuura will design the devils alongside “Look Back” director Kiyotaka Oshiyama.
