Warner Brothers has dropped a trailer for Kevin Costner’s highly anticipated western passion project, Horizon : an American Saga.

Directed by Costner and co-written with Jon Baird, the films star Costner, Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone, Abbey Lee, Michael Rooker, Danny Huston, Luke Wilson, Isabelle Fuhrman, Jeff Fahey, Will Patton, Tatanka Means, Owen Crow Shoe, Ella Hunt and Jamie Campbell Bower.

A tense standoff between Costner and Jamie Campbell Bower is evident in the trailer shared on May 17 before the film’s premiere at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, as new footage highlights the extensive ensemble cast and breathtaking American frontier landscapes.

In the great tradition of Warner Bros. Pictures’ iconic Westerns, Horizon: An American Saga explores the lure of the Old West and how it was won—and lost—through the blood, sweat and tears of many. Kevin Costner portraying Hayes Ellison during a critical period of the expansion of the American West, spanning the four years of the Civil War, from 1861 to 1865, Kevin Costner’s ambitious cinematic adventure will take audiences on an emotional journey across a country at war with itself, experienced through the lens of families, friends and foes all attempting to discover what it truly means to be the United States of America.

Daniel Baur’s K5 Intl. has sold out most of international on Kevin Costner’s two-part Western epic Horizon: An American Saga, with only a few territories left, ahead of its world premiere Sunday in Cannes’ out of competition section.

K5 closed sales to Tobis Film (German-speaking territories), Metropolitan Filmexport (France), Stan Entertainment (Australia), Unicorn (Eastern Europe), SF Studios/AB Svensk (Scandinavia), Echo Lake Distribution (Airlines), EnterMode (South Korea), Falcon Films (Middle East), NOS Lusomundo (Portugal), Tanweer (Greece), MadMen (Australia), Parallax Studios/Saga Film (Philippines), Aqua Group (Turkey) and Myndform (Iceland).

Warner Bros./New Line will give the films wide releases in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Spain, Italy and the Netherlands on June 28 and Aug. 16.
